szuky is operated by James Szuky, an independent musician based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what information this site collects, why, and what you can do about it.

What is collected

Your email address, only if you choose to give it. Signing up to the mailing list sends your email address to Kit, the service used to manage the list and send messages. Nothing is added without you confirming through a link sent to that address.

Anonymous visit data. Cloudflare Web Analytics records that a page was viewed, roughly where in the world it was viewed from, and which site linked you here. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other sites. It cannot identify you.

No account is required to use this site, and no other personal information is collected.

Things handled by other companies

• Store purchases are sold and fulfilled by Gumroad. Payment happens entirely on Gumroad's systems. Card numbers and billing details are never seen or stored here. Gumroad's own privacy policy applies to those transactions.
• Videos are hosted on YouTube and only load when you click to play one. At that point YouTube may set its own cookies, under Google's privacy policy.
• Email is sent through Kit, which records standard delivery information such as whether a message was opened.

How it is used

Your email address is used to send occasional messages about new music, videos, merchandise and shows. It is not used for anything else.

Visit data is used to understand how many people reach the site and where they came from, so that time is spent on things that actually work.

What is never done

Your information is not sold, rented or traded. It is not shared with anyone except the service providers named above, who process it only to deliver their service.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. It takes effect immediately.
• Ask what is held about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted entirely, by emailing the address above. Requests are honoured within 30 days.
• Consent can be withdrawn at any point, for any reason, without explanation.

How long it is kept

Your email address is kept until you unsubscribe or ask for it to be deleted. Analytics data is aggregate and retained by Cloudflare on their own schedule; it is not tied to you.

Where it goes

Kit, Cloudflare and Gumroad are based in the United States, so information handled by them is processed there and is subject to the laws of that country.

Young visitors

This site is not directed at children under 13, and their information is not knowingly collected. If you believe a child has signed up, email the address above and it will be removed.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting the mailing list will be sent to the list.

Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.
